A marine autopilot is an effective system offering you numerous benefits. However, if you want to fully enjoy them, the pilot has to be properly installed and tuned. Besides the main electronic modules and sensors, this equipment contains quite a lot of other parts such as brackets, fittings, hoses, sockets, cables, and so on. All of them are important for providing proper installation, reliable operation, and long service life, so it makes sense to choose only quality products specifically designed for one model or another and offering good resistance to corrosion and other unwanted factors.
Besides traditional installation, you may need the abovementioned parts for repairs or various upgrade projects. For instance, if you own the Garmin TR1 Gold Pilot or another system by this brand, you can add a throttle actuator specifically designed to control the speed of the boats equipped with a small outboard motor.
