Your boat is surely a great investment and protecting it from potential damages at sea as well as at the dock is a must for every boater. Entering the dock and staying inside your slip for a long time can cause a range of hazards to your vessel - from scratching and denting to corrosion. Equipping the dock with quality docking accessories will help you make your stay near the shore much safer for your boat and more comfortable for you.

No dock can do without a range of practical docking hardware required for mooring the boat. This includes a variety of dock cleats, rings and dock line holders that will help you secure your boat to the dock. Open base, flip-up and S dock cleats, mooring rings, screw in dock rings, etc. will prevent your boat from moving and maintain dock lines in perfect condition.
Every time you enter the dock, you run the risk of damaging the topsides of your boat with protruding dock structures as well as causing serious damage to the dock itself. To help you reduce the dangers of docking, it is recommended to equip your dock with dock bumpers, wheels and cushions that will protect your vessel while it is moored at the dock. Made from durable rubber, foam, vinyl and PVC, dock bumpers can easily withstand harsh weather conditions as well as shocks of bumping against your boat sides. You can choose from corner bumpers, vertical and horizontal bumpers, dock wheels and cushions, slip roller guides, etc.
Yet another useful piece of equipment every dock should have is a dock lift. When your boat is not in use for a long period of time and remains in the water, it may suffer from the effect of dirty water staining its sides as well as face even more serious effects of strong winds, waves and tides smashing the topsides of your vessel against the surface of the dock. An easy solution to both problems is a dock lift which holds your boat up and out of the water. Most commonly used types of dock lifts are manually operated, though electronic and hydraulic units can be had as well.
