Offering good weight savings, such constructions provide the necessary strength, which is crucial for sailing boats. Besides, Forespar is famous for its thru-hull and other plumbing fittings made from Marelon. This unique polymer composite boasts high strength, resistance to corrosion and UV radiation, and other qualities that allow for using Marelon fittings both above and below the waterline, instead of their bronze counterparts in most cases.
